So I've already had one complaint from my fan who won't even add herself as my follower...so here's a longer post.
UK US
aluminium Aluminum
Tap Faucet
Candy floss Cotton Candy
Cotton bud Q-tip
Hoover Vaccuum
But apparently 'hot water bottles' don't exist in America....or at least not in Miami- as if you actually need one.
Mascara is pronounced differently too. US= mas-care-a UK= mas-cah-ra
MAD.
My personal favourite:
Sticky Tack is Blue Tac- go figure.

First POST
Too bad I didn't start something like this years ago, there is so much I have found out that many people, including me don't even notice!
Though to be honest most of the time I could be completely wrong especially since I have not properly lived in the US for nearly 5 years. Which would be interesting to find out as it shows how much globalisation has brought the two countries closer and closer.
One that has just sprung to mind.
BBC channels don't show any adverts during tv programmes. Can't think of a single TV channel in America that does that.
Which brings me to another one.
UK= advert
US= commercial
This could be a fun blog...
